The best way to get the contacts may be from our web site as I'm not sure which area in Brisbane you are seeking contacts for.
Our web address is www.fcqn.asn.au. Just click on the Find a Financial Counsellor and the different services contact details are listed under suburbs. This way you can make contact with the services you would like to.

The FCAQ (Financial Counsellors Association of Qld ) is the state association for Financial Counsellors in Qld and is made up of members who work for community not for profit agencies such as Lifeline, Relationships Australia, Anglicare and The Salvation Army etc. Our members are spread across the state and depending on location clients come from diverse cultural backgrounds.
To assist you in your endeavours it may be of assistance for you to contact local Financial Counsellors in your area to discuss the outreach programs they may have developed. The details of Financial Counsellors in your area are available from our web site or alternatively if you can advise or your location I can try to give you some contact information that may be of assistance.

Dear Sir/Madam,
This email message is to seek information on the programs you undertake in relation to financial services targetting communities. I am a Postgraduate (Master of goverance & Public Policy) student at the University of QLD from Papua New Guinea (PNG). As part of a community engagement and governance course, we were asked to identify and initiate a community development project. I have decided to look at how Australia initiated and promoted "Gender Responsive Budgeting" as it is an area of need and interest for the women of PNG to pursue. Hence, part of this is to seek information on existing community initiatives undertaken by other organisations in Brisbane. I have selected your organisation to commence the information gathering process as your organisation focusses on assisting community groups in dealing with financial matters. The information I will collate will form the basis for stimulating initial discussions back in PNG in order to advocate for gender responsive budgeting in policy and budgetary processes. I would be very grateful for your assistance and also would appreciate it if I can come and briefly meet with anyone of your officers at your convenience.
