Hi there, my apology. There is survey by World Bank/INA kicks off now and I have been running around trying to get the latest proclaimed wards from the 2007 gazette and copied DSIP guidelines for their workshop here for the last 3 day and I almost forgot. It was good that u emailed. Attached are some information to get u started. Like I said PNG has yet to implement the GRB although they were part of the Paris Declaration and Acra one but in order to give it recognition, Planning together with Department of Community Development need to formulate a policy for cabinet to approve followed by the budget allocation. In Nepal they have set up a Task Force Committee within Dept. of Finance and a Steering Committee who are implementing this program. Attached are some of the documents I looked up prior to my trip to Nepal maybe of some help to you. I will send you more as I come across them. Maria from UNIFEM met with Marj & I about the workshop they were to have in March and had our input into it but have not come back to us so I don’t know what is happening but I will email her now and find out. This should get you started. Dept. of Comm. Development had created a division for Gender but with only 4 staff to start off with.
Have a blessed Easter weekend with your family. I am travelling home this arvo to the village with my family.
LIZ

Happy Easter, my dear sist!!
How have you been? I hope you are busy with all the forums and everything that is going on at work. Just to remind you on my last email and to provide you the new address of the blog I have created for the "Gender Responsive Budgeting". It is getting interesting coz I will also be seeking information from a number of organisations here in Brisbane who do similar stuff so that we could assist the women to advocate for it in PNG. I do not have the email address for the Papua Hahine Group so I cannot ask them about their opinions but I am thinking of putting together a project plan which will be assessed by my lecturer here so that I can help anyone who is interested. Perhaps also the UNIFEM people or who was organising your trip to Nepal last time? They might have some plans and interest in this matter and would be nice to be in touch to find out what they are doing? Would you assist me on that too, please? Like I mentioned last time, if you are already down that track then I could help you with what I find here so that it can help you do them.
Hoping to hear from you soon through the blog.
Blog address is: http://forumpng.blogspot.com.
Thanks for all your support.

Dear Liz
I have never disturbed you in anyway before but now I really need some advice and support from you that is why I’m sending this. I am currently trying to develop a project plan for the much talked about "Gender Responsive Budgeting" in PNG as part of my assessment but if I do it properly perhaps I can forward it to you and you could also use it to promote what you are already doing. In doing so I need your help in contributing to the work. I have just developed a website in maintaining the document and if you have comments you could also contribute by accessing it through the address below. If you open it now it will not have anything but perhaps at the end of the week I should have something. I thank you for all your support, my sister. When you open the home page it will have "followers" on the right hand corner. You click on it to contribute your views and comments. Is there any other agency or individual you would recommend for me to contact in PNG regarding this?
The address is http://genbudgeting.blogspot.com pls don’t use the 'www' thing as it will not get you to access it.
Best Regards
Wallis

Hi Timon,
Re. my project, I cannot attach on email coz it is a internet website. To enter your comments, you click on the comments button down the main page, 5 comments are already there. After you finish typing in, you press post comment and a window will appear asking you to use one of the menus, you select Google account, you have to have a Google account to do this like yahoo or gmail or something. Otherwise you won't be able to use the bank's email address. Anyway, it is kind of hard so if you wish to send me comments please forward it through email so that I can copy and paste like I did there already for others. It was so nice to hear from you and hope to hear from you again.
Thanks and regards. Wallis

Hi Wallis good morning and nice to hear from you. I would say very well for your project. I can’t locate the comment section as the excess is denied so I can not jot down my comment. However, the nature of the project is understood and perused globally and PNG is no exception. It’s a good start and get it down to the bottom. There shouldn’t be any complication in adoption. Send me a copy on email attachment form and I will go through.
Many thanks and enjoy your student lives.

Hi Timon,
Long time no hear... how have you been? Hope POM is cool and nice and life is good for you too... Anyway, just to say hi and also to get your opinion on a website project I am now doing. See how you think and please comment on the 'comment section' down the bottom of the page. I am trying to generate discussion on the 'Gender Responsive Budgeting' initiative which is widely pursued by many advocates around the world. Do you think it would be good for PNG, considering the type of budget decision making processes we have and perceptions?
The website address is: http://forumpng.blogspot.com. Do not use "www" when you type in this to start but type in exactly how it is written.

Hi John,
Long time no hear. How are you? Hope all is going good for you. Just wanting to ask for your help... I have been working on a project as usual on gender responsive budgeting and created on the internet a forum to generate discussions. Please view the site and I will be really grateful for your comments esp. relating to whether it is duplication with the existing ones or does it have a future? From the perspective of Informal Sector, do you think this is something we could promote as well too? The address is http://forumpng.blogspot.com. Do not include "www" in this but type exactly what is given to view the web page.
I really appreciate your help in this. You have a wonderful week and hear from you soon.
Regards
Wallis
